The use of the word 'drone' to describe the rank and file of citizenry appears first in Plato's Republic in the section in which he describes various bad types of societies and governments, and in which section he also includes Democracy.

He employs the metaphor of the beehive, and so long ago determined that there are Queen bees and their first-ranking servants, and then all the drones. The drones, he said, worked so long as they thought there was a chance that some of the honey would be allowed to go to them. And he characterised 'the honey' as also including debt in the form of bad lending practices - which he called a poisonous item that contained a sting. He's not too far away from what Hypertiger says.

Personally I very much understand the complaint of Shooter, and am not so keen to believe that things go on quite as simply as Hypertiger expounds it.

It isn't difficult to construct a total revolution from the position that we are currently in.

The way to do it is straightforward. Like Hitler did, one must speak to the underclasses and those drones who fear that they are not getting, or might not in the near future get, a fair share of the honey.

And to this extent I saw a big neon light flash in the middle of Obama's recent speech: he started out with 'a few people get far too much on the backs of the rest of society,' but then he moved directly to 'a society in which everyone does their fair share...'

That was a grossly suspect, a prejudiced and judgemental, and ultimately a work of sheer malacious 'Queen bee' propaganda. What he SHOULD have said was, as the immediate sentence AFTER the first statement: 'and this must stop.'

The overall political situation is now dangerous, in my view. Both sides (and including Ron Paul) are speaking with fingers crossed behind their backs.

Quite frankly - and I'm no modern Republican - Gingrich comes across as genuinely sincere; as the one who is the most sincere. To me at least that's what I pick up. The rest are all too clever by half and that includes RP.

Obama looks like he will win easily unless he meets a swan... Crazy Bill Wood says he's going to meet a swan.

No... It's all too too easy to start a huge revolution. You get a few tough louts who are more or less on the wrong side of the LAW, and tell them that it is their patriotic duty to grab the guy who walked up and down the line of protesting students, and... ...do things to him. And to ALL protectors of the Queen bees.

...And all the State people who run up 15 billion in late and unpaid accounts and try to hide behind the bigger crooks like what's the Chicago fella's name again who tried to sell off his governorship? And especially, the judiciary and the accountants. These, are ultimately the first-rank servants of the Queen bees who are the most deliberately responsible for maintaining the bankrupt system because they live off it as parasites.

Pretty soon, the whole thing will have descended into the biggest mess you ever did see and then it is a matter of offering to lead...

That's the standard profile of a revolution.

Of course, today, you don't even have to go down to the beer house to start the Putsch.

Nah no such luck. Unfortunately, the predators only fly off course into Ahmadinnerjacket's back yard and not in mine.

However, this Christmas it made the local newspapers the number of toy r.c. helicopters flying off into other suburban backyards - indeed there were quite a few pretty large ones that no one claimed!


On the SERIOUS front -

animals and non living matter do have an excuse...it's ultimately impossible for bacteria and water flowing to the sea to choose to follow any path other than the path of least resistance.

Everytime you claim or think you are a human being but are taking more than you give...You are choosing to be ignorant of Truth.

It doesn't matter what you think...you can think that the logical conclusion of 1+1 is 3 or some other number you favor all you want.

it's 2 reguardless.

In the Universe...ignorance of Truth is the root of all evil in the affairs of humanity...and...there is never a lasting victory over lies while the war against truth has no exit strategy and always ends in defeat.

If you think that you have won a lasting victory over lies...the very instant you embrace that belief...your defeat is certain and inevitable.

The Universe has been absolute capitalistic for it's entire existance and will be for all of it existance.

It will never change...Truth never changes...it is infinite and indestructible.

But you all can choose to...You all have an ability that nothing in the Universe including the Universe itself has...but in the end for all of recorded history you have refused to...because following the path of least resistance to it's logical conclusion is easy.

Chopping down trees faster than they regrow or taking more than you give has a logical conclusion and it's easy to accomplish.

Chopping down trees as fast as or slower than they regrow or sharing as equally as possible does not have a logical conclusion and it's hard to accomplish.

taking more than is given is what powers the exponential function.
