We all make our choices and live with consequences...
The USA has been so wrong in its foreign policy for so long, it just beggars belief. People who sign up to go to war for whatever reason cannot hide from what comes down the line. And when it does, I for one find it hard to have empathy for them.
There is symmetry in most things. In the markets, the greed on the way up is equal to the fear on the way down.

For most of these young people, it's a job with a guaranteed income and benefits, and a glamorous one at that. They usually have limited, or no other viable choices. They're promised high tech training, "pride," adventure. Come here and watch the recruiting commercials some time. Your perspective would be altered.

We have the same ads here for defense force recruiting. A total glorification of war and misrepresentation of reality.
Imperialism needs its foot soldiers. I don't want the fruits of their "victories" and tribulations but I get them anyway.
