the 900 billion deficit is a large dose of hopium. Interesting that in the "cuts" category is SIPC insurance, among others.

interest payments are 'only' 472 billion .... at 5 or 6% how would they manage that? the liability goes exponential ...

political philosophy has nothing to do with the discussion, the mathematics of the debt situation dwarfs everything else ...
