Re: 1350

The first time the index breached 1350 was April 1999. That is +4,600 days ago, by the way.

In December 2000, [the S&P 500] crossed 1350 again, on its way down to the lows of 800 in 2002.

In October 2006, the S&P 500 went through 1350 again, on its way to a brief new high of just over 1560 in October 2007.

The index then broke down as the financial crisis hit, churning through 1350 several times before its “Devil’s low” of 666 intraday in early 2009.

We were at 1350 most recently a year ago, when this level (plus or minus a dozen points or so) represented “resistance” to any further moves higher.
