Didn''t intend on coming off as belligerent as I typically intend towards raven but I think fooling with quick buck artistry trading in this environment is Russian roulette. The risk of exchanges closed for a random period of time is real.
Long term, a few things are certain. Once expected revenue streams, are now gone for good Multiples reserved for credit deluged environments are gone for good. 100s of billion of dollars in equity market capitalizations that required decades, if not a century to painstakingly build are now, and will be further vaporized. LEH, BSC, FNM, FRE. AIG… they will not come back, nor will similar entities to replace their chunk knocked out of the S&P. We have seen the highs in the equity markets for at least one generation and likely two or three. In fact, equity metrics are so far removed from anything remotely historically considered fair after two decades plus of P/E, PEG, EBITDA distorted brainwashed notions of valuation, that a bottom won''t remotely materialize until companies once again are measured by the only metric, their ability to return profits to shareholders in the form of a dividend.
