Looks Like The Democrats Blew It! Polls show crushing defeats ahead

Barack Obama’s Democratic party faces a series of dramatic defeats at every level of government in Washington and beyond in the November midterm elections, according to leading analysts and opinion polls.
The University of Virginia’s widely monitored Crystal Ball will on Wednesday forecast sweeping setbacks on Capitol Hill and the loss of a clutch of state governorships on November 2.
It follows a Gallup poll that showed the Republicans with a 10 percentage point lead over the Democrats – the widest margin in 68 years. Separately, a University of Buffalo paper has predicted a 51-seat gain for Republicans in November.
The Democrats have a 39-seat majority in the House of Representatives. Many believe Democratic control of the Senate is also at risk.
“Voters are going to deliver a big fat message to President Obama, which he will not want to hear,” said Larry Sabato, who runs Crystal Ball. “The Republican base is at least 50 degrees further to the right than where it was when Newt Gingrich took control of the House in 1994, so we would be looking at two years of absolutely nothing getting done on Capitol Hill.”

Obama is Hoover II.
Why?
He won the election two years too early.
In this particular meltdown, whichever party won in 2008 was going to end up slaughtered in 2010.
The problem is that the Republicans are equally clueless and Obama has absolutely NO IDEA what he is doing, economically speaking.
We are still heading toward the waterfall and no one knows how to steer the ship.

I couldn't agree more. We are fricking doomed. Obie was losing me from the beginning when he named his economic team, especially Turbo Tim, and he lost me completely when he rehired Bernanke.
That Russian guy who predicted that the US would fracture may not be too far off the mark. Something bad is going to happen within the next 2-3 years.

It has already been estimated that even in state elections that only one in ten dollars spent will actually come from within the state

Congressmen warn SEC on blaming high-frequency traders
Tue Aug 31, 2010 6:38pm EDT
* Bachus, Hensarling sent letter to SEC's Schapiro
* Letter notes political pressure in wake of 'flash crash'
NEW YORK Aug 31 (Reuters) - Two U.S. congressmen have urged the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to do a thorough analysis and ignore political pressure before blaming so-called high-frequency traders for the stock market's May "flash crash."
Republican Representatives Spencer Bachus and Jeb Hensarling warned that "turning back the clock" and reversing marketplace innovation "could do more harm than good," in an Aug. 24 letter to SEC Chairman Mary Schapiro.

There's no difference between at least 90% of both.
Republicans violate their name by flacking for multinationals generally and the empire-related ones in particular, making a farce of the Republic On these matters, Democrats spout great sounding rhetoric, but their 90% actually do nothing.
Democrats violate their name by using the ever willing judiciary to enforce their social engineering perversions on the country on which they could never get anywhere close to approval from legislatures or the
citizenry generally-homo nuptuials being but the most immediate example-thus making a farce of Democray. Republicans spout great rhetoric on these matters but their 90% actually do nothing useful, like ignoring such abuses of power then impeaching, removing from office and professionally ruining(at minimum) arrogant abusers of judicial, and bureaucratic, power.
There is no difference in policy substance, or morals and ethics, between the two major parties; a few specific individuals from either side may be exceptions. Believing so is like being a shrieking, crying
fan of Justin Bieber-foolish and pathetic on anyone older than 15.

Agree on the GOP....I think polyester suits, fake tans, steals money outwardly and doesn't care, penny loafers, blue hair, beady eyes and moth balls when I envision a gooper
As for the DEMS....spineless, wears spats, steals money quietly, is right of center, lies well, gets nothing done, and it takes a pillage.............
Throw a tent over both....their ain't no lesser of two evils right now...just evil

It will take quite a while to match up with the Tea Party, Beck, Limbaugh, Faux News, Palin, Coulter, Gingrich, the Kochs, and the Coors.

At least as sleazy, corrupt and treasonous as any other grouping that can be put together.
But then there's also the Cheneys and Bushes on the other side of the dime-so close, its' just like there's...No Difference!
It's hilarious to see some wretches of humanity, with nothing of substance in their lives, try to fill the gaping crater in their soul
(granting that assumption) and find some sort of fulfillment by actually telling themselves that there's some real differences in the two major political parties and then orienting their life activities around such. I could see it if one were actually high enough in the structure of one of the two parasitic bureaucracies to permit getting some of the corruption and swag for oneself or if it helped disguise one's need to rent some prostitican or bureaucrat, but to do so out of belief or commitment-it's like seeing an LA Clippers season ticket holder or a New Kids on the Block fan: HI-LARRY-US!!
