I have been plodding through these podcasts--greater than 200 in the archive--by Russ Roberts at George Mason University. These are very thoughtful scholarly interviews that remind me of Charlie Rose but in which Russ seems much more capable of elevating the discussion. This particular one is with author Daniel Pink on issues of drive and motivation (in his book, of course)....

I believe that they are getting very close to what it is that drives us all to study the world around us as baby boomers. The motivations are abstract but very real. I think it is about the need to master things that are altogether new. As Michael Lewis might say, we are garage-band economists.
BTW-For those who find these thoughtful, Russ recommended that you go through them working forward, which drops you back to 2006. My first thought is, no way. They will be highly dated. Some may, but I have been surprisingly entertained by the timelessness of the messages.
