Deer jacking, baiting and timber theft are easier now than any time in the last four hundred years. I wouldn't go so far as 400 years, but law enforcement presence is fading. I'm pretty sure many of the very rural areas will go back to the '20s with maybe a few decades overshoot. If a dead body isn't brought in, you're on your own. The simple skills of keeping a low profile, being somewhat observant (visual and auditory) and not making a grand show of stepping on others toes gives you a lot of freedom of movement and activity. In that case, offshoring jobs might be the right thing to do, transfering jobs from the less worthy to the more worthy. Let them have the stupid jobs. Then we can get back to fishing, hunting and petty thieving. The kind of stuff man was put on this earth for. Go feral early and have the advantage of experience. |
